LENTERA.PRESS, Jakarta — Pengurus Wilayah Kesatuan Aksi Mahasiswa Muslim Indonesia (PW KAMMI) Jakarta Raya menegaskan dukungan penuh terhadap eksistensi dan posisi Kepolisian Negara Republik Indonesia (Polri) yang secara konstitusional berada langsung di bawah Presiden Republik Indonesia sebagaimana diamanatkan oleh Undang-Undang Dasar Negara Republik Indonesia Tahun 1945.
Ketua PW KAMMI Jakarta Raya menilai bahwa wacana, manuver, maupun upaya menggiring Polri keluar dari garis komando Presiden—baik secara langsung maupun terselubung—merupakan langkah keliru, berbahaya, dan berpotensi merusak sistem ketatanegaraan serta stabilitas keamanan nasional.
“Polri bukan alat politik, bukan pula institusi yang bisa ditarik ke sana-kemari sesuai selera kekuasaan. Polri adalah alat negara yang bertanggung jawab langsung kepada Presiden, bukan kepada kepentingan kelompok, elite, atau kekuatan politik tertentu,” tegas PW KAMMI Jakarta Raya.
PW KAMMI Jakarta Raya mengingatkan bahwa:
Pasal 30 ayat (4) UUD 1945 secara tegas menyebutkan bahwa Polri sebagai alat negara yang menjaga keamanan dan ketertiban masyarakat berada dalam satu sistem pertahanan dan keamanan negara.
Undang-Undang Nomor 2 Tahun 2002 tentang Kepolisian Negara Republik Indonesia menegaskan bahwa Polri berada di bawah Presiden sebagai pemegang kekuasaan pemerintahan.
Upaya menciptakan struktur baru, nomenklatur baru, atau “matahari kembar” dalam komando keamanan nasional hanya akan:
- Melemahkan profesionalisme Polri
- Mengaburkan garis tanggung jawab komando
- Membuka ruang intervensi politik terhadap aparat penegak hukum
PW KAMMI Jakarta Raya juga menegaskan bahwa reformasi Polri harus dimaknai sebagai penguatan profesionalisme, transparansi, dan pelayanan publik, bukan sebagai dalih untuk mereduksi kewenangan atau menurunkan marwah institusi Polri dalam sistem presidensial Indonesia.
“Mendukung Polri di bawah Presiden bukan berarti membenarkan semua praktik di lapangan. Justru sebaliknya, ini adalah upaya menjaga Polri tetap berada dalam rel konstitusi, agar reformasi berjalan tanpa politisasi,” lanjut pernyataan tersebut.
PW KAMMI Jakarta Raya mengajak seluruh elemen mahasiswa, masyarakat sipil, dan pemangku kebijakan untuk berpikir jernih, konstitusional, dan bertanggung jawab dalam menyikapi isu-isu yang menyangkut institusi strategis negara.
Polri harus kuat, profesional, dan konstitusional.
Presiden harus tetap menjadi pemegang kendali tertinggi.
Negara tidak boleh dikorbankan demi ambisi kekuasaan.
