LENTERA PRESS, Makassar – Pergerakan Mahasiswa Islam Indonesia (PMII) Kota Makassar yang tergabung dalam Cipayung Plus Kota Makassar sukses menggelar Dialog Kerakyatan sebagai ruang diskusi terbuka antara mahasiswa, pemerintah, aparat penegak hukum, dan masyarakat dalam rangka memperkuat demokrasi berbasis HAM dan keberpihakan terhadap kepentingan rakyat. Ketua PMII Kota Makassar “Hariandi menyampaikan apresiasi kepada para narasumber yang hadir dan berkontribusi aktif dalam dialog tersebut, yakni Wali Kota Makassar, Kapolrestabes Makassar, Dandim Kodim Makassar, serta Kepala Kantor Wilayah Kementerian Hukum dan HAM Sulawesi Selatan,” ucap hariadi Ketua PMII Kota Makassar.
“Keberadaan mereka dalam dialog ini bukan hanya menunjukkan komitmen terhadap transparansi dan keterbukaan, tapi juga memberi ruang kepada publik, khususnya mahasiswa, untuk memahami langsung arah kebijakan dan tantangan yang dihadapi pemerintah serta aparat penegak hukum di Kota Makassar,” lanjutnya.
Namun demikian, PMII Kota Makassar juga menyayangkan ketidakhadiran perwakilan dari DPRD Kota Makassar yang sebelumnya telah diundang secara resmi.
“Kami menilai DPRD sebagai representasi suara rakyat seharusnya hadir dan terlibat aktif dalam forum seperti ini. Ketidakhadiran mereka menjadi catatan penting, karena dialog ini sejatinya adalah wadah untuk mendengarkan aspirasi masyarakat secara langsung,” tegasnya.
Dialog Kerakyatan ini diharapkan menjadi agenda berkelanjutan yang mampu menjembatani komunikasi antara mahasiswa, rakyat, dan pemangku kebijakan demi terwujudnya pemerintahan yang bersih, transparan, dan berpihak pada kepentingan publik.
PMII Kota Makassar terus berkomitmen menjadi motor penggerak perubahan dan kontrol sosial dalam mengawal kebijakan yang berdampak pada kehidupan rakyat.
