LENTERA.PRESS, Makassar — Ada yang janggal dari cara Dewan Pimpinan Pusat (DPP) Ikatan Mahasiswa Muhammadiyah (IMM) membaca penderitaan rakyat. Ketika peluru menembus tubuh warga sipil dan aparat kepolisian disebut-sebut sebagai pelaku, suara organisasi ini justru tenggelam—sunyi, nyaris tanpa gema.
Nasruddin, eks Ketua IMM Kota Makassar periode 2024–2025, mempertanyakan ke mana perginya idealisme yang selama ini dielu-elukan sebagai napas gerakan. “Saat rakyat ditembak, DPP IMM ke mana? Apakah keadilan kini menunggu izin untuk disuarakan?” ujarnya, tajam.
Bagi organisasi yang mengklaim diri sebagai gerakan moral-intelektual, diam bukan sekadar pilihan—ia bisa menjadi sikap politik. Dan dalam banyak kasus, diam adalah bentuk keberpihakan yang paling halus.
Namun, keheningan itu mendadak pecah ketika arah tudingan berbelok. Ketika muncul dugaan bahwa pelaku berasal dari institusi lain seperti TNI, DPP IMM justru tampil di barisan depan—lantang, cepat, dan penuh kecaman. Kontras yang terlalu terang untuk diabaikan.
“Ini bukan soal siapa pelakunya. Ini soal konsistensi moral. Jika satu kasus disikapi dengan keberanian, mengapa yang lain dihadapi dengan keheningan?” lanjut Nasruddin.
Di titik ini, pertanyaan yang lebih mengganggu mulai muncul: apakah sikap DPP IMM hari ini lahir dari keberanian yang merdeka, atau dari pertimbangan yang tak sepenuhnya bisa dijelaskan ke publik?
“Jangan sampai publik melihat ada ‘keberanian yang dipilih-pilih’. Atau lebih jauh, muncul kesan bahwa ada kecaman yang terasa aman untuk disuarakan, dan ada yang terlalu berisiko untuk disentuh,” katanya.
Dalam logika gerakan, standar ganda adalah awal dari keruntuhan moral. IMM yang dulu berdiri sebagai mitra kritis kekuasaan, perlahan berisiko menjelma menjadi penonton—atau lebih buruk, menjadi bagian dari kenyamanan yang dilindungi.
“Apakah ini masih IMM yang kita kenal? Atau sudah berubah menjadi organisasi yang menakar sikap berdasarkan siapa yang sedang disorot?” sindirnya.
Ia menegaskan, keadilan tidak mengenal seragam. Peluru yang menembus rakyat tidak pernah bertanya apakah ia ditembak oleh polisi atau tentara. Maka sikap terhadapnya pun tidak boleh berbeda.
Di ujung pernyataannya, Nasruddin melempar satu pertanyaan yang sulit dihindari:
“Jika keberanian hanya muncul pada kasus tertentu, publik berhak bertanya—apakah ini murni sikap organisasi, atau sekadar keberanian yang ‘dititipkan’?”
Pertanyaan itu menggantung. Dan sejauh ini, belum ada jawaban.
