LENTERA.PRESS, Makassar – Usulan Ketua Umum Partai Golkar, Bahlil Lahadalia, mengenai pengembalian mekanisme pemilihan kepala daerah (Pilkada) melalui DPRD memicu reaksi keras dari berbagai kalangan aktivis. Salah satunya datang dari Sekretaris Umum Pengurus Cabang Pergerakan Mahasiswa Islam Indonesia (PC PMII) Kota Makassar, M. Aulady.
Aulady menilai usulan tersebut merupakan langkah mundur bagi demokrasi Indonesia yang telah susah payah dibangun sejak reformasi 1998. Sebagai bentuk keseriusan menolak wacana tersebut, ia secara terbuka menantang Bahlil Lahadalia untuk beradu argumen dalam forum debat terbuka.
Kemunduran Demokrasi
Menurut Aulady, hak kedaulatan rakyat tidak boleh dirampas dan dikembalikan ke tangan segelintir elite di parlemen. Ia menganggap narasi efisiensi anggaran yang sering dijadikan alasan hanyalah kedok untuk memuluskan kepentingan politik oligarki.
“Pilkada langsung adalah mandat reformasi agar rakyat memiliki kedekatan emosional dan kontrol langsung terhadap pemimpinnya. Jika dikembalikan ke DPRD, maka potensi transaksional di ‘ruang gelap’ akan semakin masif. Saya menantang Bang Bahlil untuk debat terbuka mengenai hal ini,” tegas Aulady dalam keterangannya, Jumat (02/01).
Siap Adu Data dan Gagasan
Aulady menambahkan bahwa PMII Makassar siap memfasilitasi tempat jika tantangan ini diterima. Ia ingin publik melihat apakah usulan tersebut murni untuk kepentingan bangsa atau sekadar strategi penguasaan instrumen kekuasaan.
“Kita tidak boleh membiarkan demokrasi kita dikebiri secara perlahan. Kami di Makassar siap beradu data dan gagasan. Jangan sampai kebijakan publik diputuskan hanya berdasarkan selera elite tanpa mendengar suara akar rumput,” tambahnya.
Hingga saat ini, pernyataan sikap dari Sekum PMII Makassar ini mulai mendapat perhatian luas di media sosial, terutama di kalangan aktivis mahasiswa di Sulawesi Selatan yang konsen terhadap isu-isu demokrasi dan kebijakan publik.
